Water Lilies

One of the things I most appreciated in this drawing was the use of color, the strength in them. It seemed as if everything in this piece of art was bold. The way the water flows in the pond is also very well done, the lines of purple, blue and turquoise blending nicely. The different sades in each aspect of this drawing all worked well together, making a sort of shading of its own. For example, the lily pads are shaded using different colors to form the shadows.
The technique is rather original though the content is not; it's not expected to be original content since this is based on a famous painting. However, I have seen a similar form of this before, also based on the same painting.
I found that the shape of the flowers could have been a little bit better, maybe a little more of a curve at the base of the flower and more distinction between the petals in front. The middle of the flower didn't seem to be obstructed by any petals from the front, making it seem as if there were only petals on one half of the flower. This small detail is emphasized by the purity of the colors in this digital painting.
In whole, it's a great piece of digital art.
